France could be without inexperienced wing Benjamin Fall and second-row Pascal Pape for their Six Nations clash against Wales on Friday after the pair injured themselves in training.

Fall, 20, and 29-year-old Pape picked up heel injuries in Tuesday's training session and are doubtful to feature in Cardiff, the French Rugby Federation said.

Pape, capped 25 times, played the entire 80 minutes for France in their first two games, the wins over Scotland and Ireland.

Fall, however, missed the Ireland game after suffering a neck injury in the opening 18-9 win over Scotland.

The Bayonne flyer, capped twice, has been called into the squad to replace Vincent Clerc, who has an ankle injury.

France coach Marc Lievremont is also without flanker Fulgence Ouedraogo for Friday's match.

He has been replaced by 31-year-old Julien Bonnaire.
