The French Rugby Federation have asked their Welsh counterparts to close the Millenium Stadium's retracting roof for their Six Nations match in Cardiff on Friday.
The Welsh Rugby Union contacts every opponent to ask for their preference. Both coaches must agree for the roof to be closed.
It stayed open for Wales' 31-24 victory over Scotland on February 13 at Scottish coach Andy Robinson's request, prompting a spat with his counterpart Warren Gatland.
The match takes place at 2000 GMT on Friday.
